Welcome on the website of Kenza Foundation – Institute of France.

The primary mission of the Kenza Foundation is to provide study abroad scholarships to Art and History of Art graduate and undergraduate students from four universities in Paris.

Grants

The second mission of the Kenza Foundation is to support social educational projects in Paris and its suburbs in relation to the Arts. Grants are typically one-off partial funding of an associative project, up to €5,000 on any given year.

Examples of associative projects supported by the foundation are the following:

  • promotion of art education in France;
  • purchase of art equipment and/or educational resources;
  • research in art education.

The Kenza Foundation will only diligence, on a case-by-case basis, educational projects from associations where the majority of the financing has already been put in place with reputed foundations or not-for-profit organizations. The following questions will be considered during the due diligence process:

  • Does the project reduce Art education inequalities in France?
  • What makes such program compelling?
  • Who are the associations carrying out the project and what are their resources and track record?
  • What is the experience of the people involved?
  • How is the project currently financed and what are the other not-for-profit institutions involved? Is there public financing?
  • What are the relevant indicators to keep track and quantify the success of the project considered?

If you have questions or want to submit a project, please do not hesitate to contact us on contact@fondationkenza.org.
